Hello Olivia,
I took the exam in April of this year. I have been a nurse in Ambulatory for 30 years and thought it would be a bit easier than I found it to be. I studied with all the resources and made myself pay attention to Development stages of life and learning, normal vital signs given the various ages of life, chronic disease, coding and billing. I passed as I am rather certain you will especially since it sounds like you are using all your resources as well.
I will add that as a Certified Heart Failure Nurse (CHFN), I found that exam a bit easier since it was totally focused on the specialty of Heart Failure and that was where I was spending my hours as a nurse.
In my humble opinion, the value of AMB-BC needs to be elevated. Those of us with this specialty certification should be leading best practices, helping to speak to the value of AMB-BC and AMB nursing altogether. Our practice is unique and so desperately needed right now.
Thanks for the question and for your commitment to our profession.
Break a leg!
