Curious how other organizations incorporate ambulatory areas in their Hospital Week Celebrations. Here are a few tools we use at UNC!

Awesome! These are some great ideas. I am struggling this year, as it is our first with most nurses working remotely. Their home offices are scattered throughout a 50 mile radius, so I am not sure what to do to celebrate them.

    Torie

We have over 4,000 RNs, LVNs, and APPs in our area in the Ambulatory setting. We have an Ambulatory Nurse Week Committee to design this work and to make an effort to be similar/same to the two-hospital campus for our hospital nurses. We meet and design the week's calendar. From there, we create a daily message to the emails of our RNs, and LVNs, and APPs.

This is our third year being so deliberate to ensure all nurses get acknowledged.

    I hope you like it.

We employ approximately 1,100 frontline nurses across Illinois and Michigan in our Ambulatory Setting, which includes Home Care. We have a dedicated Registered Nurse position responsible for overseeing all of our empowerment activities, including Nurses Week. She creates a calendar of events and sends out daily emails to keep everyone informed. This is the second year we have had this dedicated position, and we have seen improvement in overall engagement and retention since its implementation.

We're thrilled to share the video capturing the vibrant participation of our Medical Group and Home Care team in the "Theme Days" for Nurse's Week. Watching the energy and enthusiasm of our nurses, it's evident that they had an absolute blast!
