Good morning,
Our updated Preceptor Guide for Ambulatory Care Nursing will be available as an ebook in March. This second edition provides tools to enhance a preceptor role effectiveness. Its up-to-date information includes a chapter on telehealth and the need to expand competencies in this area. It includes concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as workforce resilience. The current Guide can be downloaded at no cost for members to give you an idea of the information contained in it.
Ambulatory Care Nursing Orientation and Competency Assessment Guide is also a strong resource that can help you with the orientation of new nurses.
Hope this helps!
If you have any questions about the resources, don't hesitate to reach out. Have a great day,
Jennie

We are currently working on this at UNC. We started with our ambulatory leaders and are now moving toward shared governance for our ambulatory nurses and mentoring. I would love to hear if anyone has successfully implemented this. Our SHARE survey showed that our nurses are hungry for it!
