  • 1.  Artificial Nails in Ambulatory Care

    Dear Colleagues,

I realize that has been discussed in the past, and I have reviewed the WHO/CDC guidelines but would you weigh in on your dress code guidelines for Front Desk/Office Assistants (front of the house) regarding artificial nails in the clinic setting.
    I appreciate your wisdom.

    Hello Toni,

Our policy states that all patient-facing staff, including front office staff, are not allowed to have artificial nails, gels, acrylics, appliques, or chipped nail polish, even on natural nails.

    Thank you,
