Hi-
Wondering if anyone has an evidence-based tool for asynchronous triage. We use the Schmitt-Thompson nurse triage protocols embedded within Epic for telephone calls. Many pts do not want phone calls anymore, they want to communicate through My Chart messaging, and we receive a lot of symptoms based My Chart messages. Our current practice is to call the pt for further triage but wondering if there is an evidence-based tool that could be used through messaging to triage the pt. Alternatively do you have a workflow or protocol you use for this type triage?
Best,
Pam
