Hello,
We don't have a specific bed bug policy for the ambulatory care setting. I have attached an excerpt from our facility integrated pest management program.
I am aware that the ED uses a bed bug oven, but don't I don't know much about it.
Areas that have potential to lend to an inpatient admission (ED & mental health) ask the following screening questions:
- Have you stayed in a place where you think you may have been exposed to bed bugs in the past there months?
- Has anyone in your family been bitten by bed bugs or do they have bites or blisters that you're concerned about?
- Bed bugs, lice, scabies, and other things can cause medical concerns. Do you need help with a bed bug, or any other pest issue?
Best wishes,
cam
