    Hi Everyone,

    Since it looks like it's been a few years since this topic was last raised, I'm curious-have your organizations removed last names from staff badges? I'd appreciate hearing what others have done.

    Our organization has removed the last name for all staff except for select leaders.

    We have only our first name and title listed on our ID Badge.  We have both names on the back of badge, for safety.

    We only have our first names listed on our badges.

     

    I think the real question here is why? Why have we removed our last names from our badge?

     

    I'm rather certain it has at least a little something to do with the rise, threats and attacks on healthcare personnel, predominantly nurses.

     

     

    I'd love to hear ways that organizations are addressing this....
