Our Primary Care Transition Care Coordinators care for high risk patients discharged from the hospital, following them for 30 days. We were hired as exempt caregivers Monday through Friday.
Due to department changes and patient care need, our workflow has changed to include weekends, holidays, and off shifts.
Inquiring if other health care systems are providing salary adjustments or additional compensations for these days/hours? Or are their exempt salaried nurse primary care coordinators working weekends, holidays and off shifts?
Appreciate any input on what other organzations are doing.
