Good morning,
I recently took a position as ADON for an FQHC in North Carolina that serves mostly the rural part of the state. The organization is a true Medical Home model with medicine, dental, WIC, and mental health/social services all under one roof.
My previous leadership experience has been within LARGE academic medical centers with solid foundations/processes established, so this is quite a culture shock! I am wondering if anyone else works for this type of organization and would not mind giving me a few pointers. We are in the midst of a HRSA audit and in our TJC window (and I just started last week :D). Many processes are antiquated, but our new CEO is very forward-thinking so I can see that starting to shift.
