I am interested in gaining insight into the management structure within organizations that have multi-specialty ambulatory care practices in non-hospital licensed spaces related to management of laboratory testing practices, both waived and moderate complexity.
We currently have over 15 distinct specialty and primary care pediatric practices with even more locations within our physician service organization (162b organizaiton in Texas). Therefore, we have 20+ CLIA ID's. There is a lab director (physician) for each practice, but we do not currenty have an operational laboratory manager to provide oversight over each practice's lab processes and ensure appropriate quality control over our entire ambulatory organization. We are considering adding this position and are interested to hear how others are managing their lab services.
