Managing Patients Who Arrive to Clinic with Empty Oxygen Tanks: Seeking Standardized Best Practices

I am seeking insight into best practices for managing patients who arrive to ambulatory clinic visits with empty portable oxygen tanks. In our setting, oxygen administration requires a provider order, and several of our clinics are offsite from the main hospital, which adds complexity to rapid response and escalation. I am interested in learning how other organizations have standardized their process to ensure patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Specifically, have you implemented standing orders, defined escalation pathways, or other seamless standard work to address this scenario?
