I wanted to bring your attention to an excellent conversation occurring in the Open Forum: Nurse Led Hypertension clinics.
Sarah Kundrat, RN shared fantastic "Enrollment and Nursing Hypertension Management Protocols" that we can all learn from. These are extremely helpful and well done!
I specifically appreciate the inclusion and exclusion criteria as well as the specifics on laboratory monitoring and patient safety parameters.
If you are looking to expand top of license work for your Registered Nurses or just looking for ideas on how to set up a nursing protocol, please review and chime in.
Additionally, capturing these Nurse Led and completed visits (visit type, quality data, patient education, etc.) strengthens Nurse Sensitive Indicators by providing nurse driven / nurse led processes and data that elevate our practice and improve community care throughout our country.
