  • 1.  Policy for treatment of patients outside the ambulatory office

    Good morning

    I am looking to create a policy around care of patients when an event occurs outside the facility- i.e. patient  trips and falls when they are stepping up on the sidewalk to come into the building. We have some offices that contain another sites laboratory so sometimes the patients are not our patients. Do you have different tracks your team follows for those cases? How do you document if your EMR does not have record of the patient?
