Hi there,
I know from personal experience that RN's can perform IUI's in fertility clinics in South Carolina. I'm not sure if the scope is different in SC, as I'm a resident in NC but traveled to Greenville, SC to have my procedure performed. When I was undergoing fertility treatments, I was told an RN would be performing the procedure. I had my reservations based on previous experiences and the NP ended up doing the procedure, but she stated that the RN's perform them way more frequently than she even does. I think it's great to go ahead and confirm with the state board.
Good luck!

Subject: RN performing IUI
We are acquiring an established IVF practice that was previously privately owned. I have seen this question asked before in the last several years but wondering if anyone found a good answer. Can RN's perform Intrauterine Inseminations? Their practice manager has stated that according to ASRM (American Society of Reproductive Medicine) they can. I am reaching out to our state board of Nursing as well but wondering what anyone else has discovered.
Thank you!
