Hello All, 

I am currently developing a training for RN TRIAGE along with clinical message management.  I am using all the tools from AAACN, clear triage and more to develop the actual training. I also have begun to do call audits and peer reviews.    I was wondering beside teaching with instructional power point, what other techniques do you use to teach and verity competency?   How are you signing off your staff as competent?

At AAACN conferences I have seen presentations about role playing used to illustrate how calls should go and to give feedback to staff.  Here is an article about simulation in nursing school.  The same would apply for nurses already working. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8116070/
