I don’t have a specific answer to your question but I think salary and compensation are topics that nurses should be talking about openly. I don’t think we have advocated strongly enough for ourselves in this regard.
My organization recently gave out bonuses and pay increases that initially did not include ambulatory care nurses.
We did not fit the organization’s definition of bedside nurses.
Now job postings include pay salary ranges, that pay oncology nurses less than med-surg for example, that really seem insulting.
Salary compensation is one of the driving forces behind hospitals losing nurses, so I think its an appropriate topic.
Good luck

Subject: Staff Developer / Nurse Educator Pay
Dear Colleagues,
I am in an organization that recently realigned salaries for clinical nurses. As a result, a 10% increase was given to all bedside clinical nurses, assistant nurse managers, and nurse practitioners. Managers were given an 8 % increase. The educators were left out an currently offered a 5% increase despite the fact for the last 30 years staff developers were paid 10 -15 more than bedside nurses. I am asking if anyone in our community has salaries that compare bedside nurse salaries to staff developers. The question being how much more do staff developers make compared to bedside nurses? In addition, any staff developer / nurse educator job specifications would help as we in negotiations.
I am hoping this is appropriate for the forum. If not, please excuse me.
