    Greetings Fellow Nurses,

As a Doctor of Nursing Practice student at Viterbo University, I am conducting a study to understand the experiences and perceptions of new graduate nurses and their supervisors working in ambulatory care settings. As the health care environment changes, more new graduate nurses are going directly into ambulatory care. According to the National Council of State Board of Nursing RN 2024 Practice Analysis, the number of new graduate nurses taking jobs in ambulatory care increased from 4.1% to 5.6% from 2021 to 2024. Therefore, as an industry, we need to better understand how to support new nurses in these environments to provide quality care to patients and support our new nurses.
