    Good morning-

i am being asked to have the nursing team (RNs/PCAs) transfer liquid nitrogen from the dewer into a portable "cryospray can" for use by the dermatologist.  Does anyone have a policy/standard work and/or a training document?  I have always worked in setting that the dermatologist was responsible for this task,

    Thanks in advance

I once asked an MA in dermatology to show me how she did this. The key takeaways were to wear PPE and use a funnel designed for the purpose. Otherwise, it was pretty straightforward.

Good morning, in our organization an MA runs the derm clinic, so they process the liquid Nitro.  They done PPE equipment including large gloves that allows no skin contact with liquid and googles.  they open the tank, dip in the tank with a scope and pour the liquid into a metal cylinder that is used to spray on liquid in derm.  it is a challenge at times, but we work very hard to make sure all staff is competent to use this process.  Hope that helps.

What do you mean by portable? Will this be leaving the facility for transport to another location or just to use during the clinic in a cry-ac container?
