LVN Professional Development

I'm unable to find a previous thread about organizations that utilize a professional development ladder for LVNs in ambulatory care. We currently have one for our RNs but not for LVNs, which are primarily working in Community Health. If anyone has something that they already use, I would love to know how this works in your organization. I appreciate any advice your have to help recruit and retain our ambulatory nurses. Thanks!

My apologies, Kim. In Texas and I believe California, LPN and LVN are the same. So if someone has a professional LPN ladder, that would be helpful. Thanks!

We have what we call our Technician Advancement Program (TAP) which our LPNs can advance on. We placed them on this ladder because of their classification in HR.

Please find attached what we use. I did not include the tools as that would have made this very long. I also had to leave the $$ out per our policy. Hope what i have sent will help you all in some way.

I am hoping this goes to all audience - please let me know if i accidently sent it privately.
Happy to talk thru. Some of the designations were driven by our HR because they didn't want it to be categorized as "LPN I, II, III, IV"
Our LPN II role is a Sr. LPN role.
    Thanks!
    Kim

Many thanks, Kim and Patty - and hope this has been helpful to others, as well. If anyone else wants to chime in, I welcome your feedback. This will definitely help with presenting our plan - now keeping our fingers crossed that our HR/Compensation/Executive Team will support this initiative. Best to you all!
