We are transitioning to EPIC from Athena. Currently we use Qur4U to send screening forms to parents prior to the appointment. We have heard EPIC will not have this function and Qur4U is not compatible. What systems are you using to have these long screening forms completed prior to the appointment?

    Hello Mykala,

We have an amazing IT team. They work with us and offices to create flowsheets for screening tools. These flowsheets can then be added as what Epic calls, "eCheck-In Questionnaires" that can be manually or automatically sent to patients.

    Thank you,

    Hi Mykala,

If you are looking for more specific pediatric information you may try the pediatric SIG board here Pediatrics SIG Forum - American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing, but we are a pediatric primary and specialty care organization and utilize EPIC. Echoing Sharon's response, all of our screening questionnaires and forms are built into flowsheets and can be sent ahead of the visit via MyChart or completed during the visit face to face with the staff. In primary care we use designated GA state screenings adapted into EPIC and for our specialty areas we design our own questionnaires. We have a number of evidenced based questionnaires from outside sources adapted into EPIC flowsheets such as PSQ9, ASQ, etc. I've never come across a screening that couldn't be built into EPIC.  EPIC also has a platform called "UserWeb" with a Community Library where you can view flowsheets from other organizations to get ideas.  Good luck with your transition!
