Are other clinic nurses or home health nurses replacing gastric/peg tubes after dislodgement? If so, is anyone able to share their methods for checking competency/validation for reinsertion? This is a mature/healed site. What would be best practice for checking placement after reinsertion? Would pH gastric strips alone be an acceptable method to check placement?
