  • 1.  preferred vs legl name in banner bar

    Hello team!! Recent conversations came up about how to display both legal and preferred names in a manner that reduces confusion. This has includes our telehealth team as they take the in-basket messages. Has anyone had this issue come up, especially in EPIC. Right now it only displays either or . They want to add the preferred name in quotes next to the legal name. Thoughts?

    Hello Danielle,
    Our organization used Epic, and when there is a preferred name, it's in quotation marks. It's visible in the storyboard.

    Our Clinic Group did decide to have Epic add the preferred name in quotes next to their legal name on the banner and this has worked well for our staff.
