    Our Primary Care offices are evaluating standing orders. Do your Primary Care offices have standing orders? If so which ones, and would you please share? And any protocols surrounding the standing orders. Thank you

    Our organization has 2 standing orders for all Primary Care: RNs to give adult vaccines and EKGs. I will email them to you.

    I have seen the following used in FQHCs primary care clinics.  I am also working on a project for one of the Health Centers in NE to create Standing Orders for them. If anyone is interested in working together on them, I am happy to collaborate.

    • In-house labs
      • A1c
      • Lead
      • Glucose
      • Rapid Strep
      • Hep C
      • HIV
      • Lipids
      • Hgb
    • Send out labs
      • Cologuard
      • FIT Test
    • Procedures
      • EKGs
      • Spirometry
      • Ear Lavage
    • Vaccines
      • Any vaccines
      • Some limit to COVID and Flu
    • Other
      • Screening Mammogram
      • Follow-up Diagnostic Mammogram and/or ultrasound based on screening results
      • Colonoscopy referral
      • Insulin Titration by pharmacist or DM RN
      • Pharmacist to sub medications from same class based on cost/coverage
      • DM supplies (pen needles, glucometer, lancets, etc.)
      • Medication Refills based on protocol
