Hello dear colleagues, Happy New Year!
This year, I would like to take the ambulatory certification exam. Do you have any suggestions for helpful updated study guides or materials? Is there a study group that I can join?
    Thank you so much.

    Hi Angela and Lauren,

Great questions, and the National Office would be happy to assist you with any questions that you have. AAACN has an on-demand certification review course in our Online Library. This course was recorded by our CRC instructors. However, if you plan to attend our Annual Conference in Orlando, we will be hosting a 2-day in-person course on Thursday and Friday afternoons. We also offer a Core Curriculum, Review Questions (available for purchase as a bundle), and an Ambulatory Care Nursing Scope and Standards, all of which can be purchased in our store to help you prepare for the exam.

If anyone is hosting a study group, feel free to post your information here.

If you have any other questions, please reach out to the National Office at aaacn@aaacn.org. Remember, AAACN members receive member pricing on all our Educational Resources and a $100 discount when you register to take the exam.

Thank you so much, Lauren and Nikki.
Nikki, I took the bundle course and purchased the CD a few years ago. I was planning to take the exam, but then COVID hit and I got distracted. I'm not sure how much the materials have changed. Do you recommend taking the readiness test to see where I stand?

I would suggest taking it in-person or purchasing the updated course; a lot has changed since we recorded the CD version.

    Hi Angela!

I am also preparing to take the exam. I want to share that when reviewing the pre-requisites for application, there are a number of CEs that are required for applying to take the exam. You may want to peek at this if you have not already done so. I am ordering my book this week. Please reach out when you are ready to study!

    My Best,

I am currently studying for the AMB Certification exam as well.  I have several of the materials: scope and practice, review questions, notes pages/handbook, and the book.  I do no have the most updated online course yet.  Not sure if I need to buy that or not or if the materials I already have are sufficient.  I have been studying and had a few peeps I was studying with.  They decided to go back for their Masters and Doctorate in nursing and stepped away from studying for the certification.  I have availability in the evenings after 5p.m. central time zone.  I would be happy to join, prepare materials to discuss.  My cell number is 815-210-7757 and personal email is atknhd2@gmail.com
