I'm curious whether anyone is actively working on DSCSA requirements for their sites and am somewhat surprised to not see any discussion.
Prior to this year, we were ordering buy-and-bill medication through our associated hospital and these were then sent to the sites.
In the current state, sites order buy-and-bill medications directly through a distributor (Cardinal) which are shipped directly to the sites. These are a mix of over the counter and prescription drugs, but only for administering, not dispensing.
Our contracted partner is telling us that by the end of November in order to be in compliance we will have to scan barcodes for each individual buy-and-bill medication that arrives in the office.
Just curious if anyone else is affected by this or maybe has done this already.
