The post from our colleague, Lovelace Abdullah, from a couple of days ago inspired me to make a request.

I am currently pursuing a Master's in Nursing online at Arizona State University. The program requires a 45-hour practicum precepted by a nurse who holds a master's or doctorate degree which is supposed to be completed during the Fall 2026 semester if I find a place in a timely manner.

I live in Boulder, CO and am wondering if there is anyone who is or knows of a site and a preceptor who is willing to fulfill the requirement. Although I would like to stick to a fairly close geographical area i.e. Boulder, Longmont, Broomfield and the small towns (Erie, Louisville, Lafayette, etc.) around and in between, I would be willing to travel to the Denver metro area, preferably Denver proper and the northern and western suburbs.

I greatly appreciate assistance that you might be able to provide because I have not had much success so far in locating a preceptor/site.

The focus of the program I'm in is leadership but I feel it's a bit generic. I'm not currently working but I enjoy teaching, mostly orienting new and/or float clinical staff to my department and also patient teaching. I originally wanted to complete education to be a Clinical Nurse Specialist but Colorado doesn't seem to hire for that position and the University of CO suspended admission to their program a year ago. I may try to obtain a post-grad certificate in a more focused area once I decide what that might be!
