    Hello,

We are looking for information about the management of this atomizer bottles with single use disposable applicators used in our otolaryngology clinics. If your clinic uses these, please share your process for cleaning after each use. Thank you!

    Good morning,

We stopped using the atomizer bottles years ago (ENT, Facial Trauma, and facial reconstruction). We were transitioning from in-unit cold sterilization (Cidex OPA) to a centralized sterilization procedure. We were not able to locate a manufacturer information for use and cleaning procedure for the units. We moved our process to a syringe with nasal atomizer tip for each patient. This was in 2018, well before Covid. Once Covid hit, we (and our patients) were very happy that we had individual and disposable products.

Can you share any process you have in place to meet the updated USP797 regulations regarding sterile compounding and the use/reuse of these?
