I think this is a great idea; however, there are some question(s) to consider:
(Audits should require a template to ensure that you document, measure, or assess what you seek to evaluate. )
Is the purpose simply discussing chart processes and practice without going through specific charts?
Is the audit being done by one person and the discussion about results brought at a meeting?
Are specific individuals auditing each other?
Are you auditing for standardized practice (documentation) or for specific outcomes? This starts to sound like research.
When you talk about peeer chart audits, who is going through the chart and will your practice/organization/facility's IT/Security department (HIPAA) require a process in writing that that needs to be authorized?
