Hi just wondering if anyone out there has started giving RSV vaccines to adults 60 and older? How about the Beyfortus antibody injection for babies 8 months and younger?

Thanks, Karen Hunter, BSN, RN, AMB-BC

Hello, we are not doing either yet. For >60 an older MCR  part D covers but otherwise insurance hasn't caught up. We will offer both commercial insurance coverage is approved.

Hi.  At my organization, we are still gathering information about the new RSV prophylactic medications.  The adult vaccines are available in the community pharmacies, allowing the Medicare population to easily obtain it if desired.  As Tracy mentioned, the commercial insurances are not universally covering it yet.
