  • 1.  Schmitt Thompson Protocol PA LPN Scope of Practice

    Our ambulatory nursing team is working on developing workflows that integrate LPNs into the Schmitt–Thompson triage process. Is anyone in Pennsylvania currently using Schmitt–Thompson with LPN involvement?

    If so:

    • What does your workflow look like?
    • Are LPNs forwarding their notes to the clinic office provider for sign off, or are they routing them to an RN for review and sign?

    Hi, wondering if you implemented this and what is your experience with the Schmitt-Thompson protocols? I'm currently developing content for a triage class for all our nurses and we have a lot of LPNs so I'm trying to include them while keeping them within scope so looking for someone doing something similar.
