Subject: What Pediatric Protocol Would You Use? Pediatric Telephone Protocols 17th Edition - Barton D. Schmitt
What would make me hesitate here is that the following areas are listed in the "mouth pain and other symptoms" protocol:
USE THIS PROTOCOL FORP
- Pain or discomfort inside the mouth
- Site of pain includes lips, gums, teeth, buccal mucosa, tongue, roof of mouth (palate), tonsil and throat (oropharynx)
It takes the time to list all of the locations, but doesn't include the jaw.
Regardless, I think the triage disposition would have been the same.

Mouth Pain and Other Symptoms seems like it may have been a better fit for this situation

With the limited information here, can you share what Pediatric Protocol you would have chosen? Thank you!
