    Hello,

    We are excited to have you join us this Wednesday, 1/28/26 for a brief presentation and open discussion about two relevant and timely topics related to Workplace Safety and Workforce Wellbeing in the ambulatory setting. Our guest presenter will be leading the conversation on:

    1. Modernizing Staff Identification Badges. Are last names necessary?
    2. Patient/Visitor Requests Surrounding Personal Attributes of Personnel.

    Presented and facilitated by: Dawn Fletcher, DNP, RN, NEA-BC

    Dr. Dawn Fletcher is a senior nurse executive at Mayo Clinic in Florida, providing strategic leadership across multiple ambulatory service lines. She is a recognized systemlevel leader in workplace safety, with more than 15 years of experience advancing safe, highreliability care environments.

    Dawn co-leads workplace violence prevention efforts for the Florida campus and represents nursing on key enterprise committees focused on complex behavior management, workforce safety, and organizational risk mitigation. Her leadership has driven measurable improvements across the system, including strengthened environmental safety practices, enhanced suiciderisk mitigation processes, and advancements in safe patient handling across ambulatory and inpatient settings.

    Nationally, Dawn served as Chair of the AAACN Workplace Safety Task Force which merged into the Workplace Safety and Workforce Well-being SIG, contributing to shaping best practices in safety and behavior response frameworks. Her doctoral work, *A Leader's Response to Workplace Violence in Ambulatory Care*, informs her approach to advancing both staff wellbeing and operational readiness.

    Known for her humancentered and lean leadership philosophy, Dawn prioritizes psychological safety, frontline engagement, and barrier removal to drive sustainable improvements. She is committed to creating environments where clinical teams feel supported, empowered, and equipped to deliver safe, highquality care.

    She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Emory University, a Master of Science in Nursing from Kennesaw State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mercer University.
