@Sabrina Sumner
Our hospital based endoscopy team performs the esophageal manometry in the hospital (including in the off-site clinic that is an extension of the hospital- same team, different walls).
Referrals come from the clinics. Nurses are trained to perform the procedure and go over all instructions and education with the patient.
Written consent is obtained for pediatric patients, which the MD obtains. Adults do not have written consent for this procedure.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you'd like the contact information for the Nurse Manager of that department!

Sabrina,
I don't have the answer readily available, but we have a Gastric Motility clinic at our academic hospital. I'll reach out to their leadership to see if this is something they're performing and see if I can help get answers or a contact for you (no promises, but I'll try)!

Curious as to where other organizations are performing Esophageal Manometry in the Ambulatory Care settings (clinics, surgical center, endoscopy suite, etc.)? If you are,
2. Who performs the Eso Manometry (provider, nurse, technician)?
3. Is informed consent obtained? If so, who obtains the consent (ordering provider; performing clinician (nurse/technician, etc.)
Looking forward to your input!
