    Good afternoon!

    I am looking to improve our referral process in our Neurosurgery clinics and possibly implement one of our subspecialities in Neurology to be referral based. From those who have processes in place already, how did you set this up for best practice? We want to get patients in timely but also not create an intensive work burden - this may not be possible but I am open to new ideas.

    Appreciate any tips or lessons learned. Thank you!

    I would recommend AAACN article on how Amy Fulwood created a better flow in the VA system. The article is Building blocks for population health using nurse sensitive indicators Q1 2025 Vol 47.  I will try to post in library.  You can use her model to determine how your workflow is for access of care.
