I am reaching out to you today because some of your fellow San Diego-based members are trying to establish a Local Networking Group (LNG) of AAACN.  Our purpose statement is as follow: To bring like-minded Ambulatory nurses in the San Diego area together to foster professional development, collaboration, and community.

We are hoping to start meetings in March or April.  Initially we would be informal, as those interested in the LNG share their experience and ideas about how we move forward.  Eventually we will have more formal meetings which could include presentations from members, guests or students.  Depending on how many people are interested, we will be looking for a meeting site to accommodate the group.  Space permitting, we would like to open the meetings to students who may be interested in ambulatory care and to those who are not members, but are interested in learning more about us.  We are also planning some virtual meetings.

  Please let me know if you are interested in participating in an LNG in San Diego, and if so, whether your organization has meeting space we could use for evening meetings.
